Persona | Target Audience
Nak Belanja is an E-commerce platform that strives to connect small FNB businesses and consumers together. This platform helps expand small vendors and businesses into the digital platform and increase awareness of their businesses. With having a physical store will not help much in terms of marketing, Nak Belanja exists to provide extensive service and increase revenues for all small FNB businesses.

The Logo
The logo was designed to resemble the vision of Nak Belanja. Nak Belanja was organised to maximise efficiency between consumers and vendors. Parts of the logo that identifies as shopping bad and cart represents the trade between these parties. 2 HEX codes from the family of green and red respectively were chosen to identify the food and business industry. The colour group, red was chosen to identify attention and spark an appetite for consumers. It has to be complementary with the colour group, green for complementary purposes in the colour harmony standard. The colour group, green is also identified as healthy which is another objective of Nak Belanja.

Studying user journey & Wireframing

Before producing interface, one should understand how the user will interact with the platform through learning the user's perspective. In order to do that, Adobe XD is a great software to create an efficient mockup and addressing issues based on user's preference and able to rectify these issues before the start of the developing phase.
Categorising
ShopAll-01.png
Products are being categorised into Local Delights, Delicacies and Frozen and vendor's profile if needed. This is to filter vendors depending on what they want to sell in the platform, and the invoice generating system will be much easier later on.

Mindmapping is a great method to filter products into different categories. This is especially important when it comes to designing the interface of the platform - Under product shopping. It will help users to find specific products in a specific category without looking at all products as a wholesome.

Feedback from survey
Testings were made into separate groups; 10 random participants and stakeholders. Stakeholders were branched out into stall vendors, shop owners and home businesses. Importantly, stakeholders want the feasibility of their products listed on the platform. Therefore, they should be included in the testing.

Users view an array of products in a particular category.

Upon clicking a product, users notice a similar product. This strategy is called upselling in a retail language.

Once users are ready to pay, a display of checkout display will be prompted featuring the products intended and the total amount needed to pay.
Results
Feedback from testers mentioned the categorisation works well to list their products accordingly. Checkout system seems direct and invoices will be sent directly to the seller and make preparations accordingly. They have mentioned the idea of adding a similar product in the product page may incur some competition with other vendors. Referring back, this is an upselling strategy and Nak Belanja will not cease the idea.
Is the problem solved?
Nak Belanja was established to ease small businesses in terms of profits by increasing its brand existence in the digital market. This is potentially due to the COVID19 as most vendors were affected and unable to host a booth or a stall at the Geylang Serai Bazaar Ramadhan. Other platforms such as Gobaza.sg, Bazaar rays SG 2020 and B.Halal were implemented during the COVID19 period. Nak Belanja selling point as compared to other platforms is that it does not charge seller to list products on the platform. Instead, Nak Belanja will administrate the entire process for consumers. It does not work like eBay or Carousell where any sellers can list their products online. This is to ensure the actual purpose of Nak Belanja - To help small FNB businesses and vendors only.

Did I Solve it?
Nak Belanja only listed 3 categories; Local Delights, Delicacies and Frozen items. Goods that do not fall within any of these categories are not liable to partner with Nak Belanja and has to proceed to list their products in other platforms. With such a few categories, this will help to target specifically affected sellers and direct their business to potential consumers.

Home-Based Business Drama
During the circuit breaker in Singapore, a social media artiste blackmailed all home-based business with regards to health and safety concerns. Although it was not part of the law, to ensure the safety of all citizens, the Singapore government had to ban home-based businesses temporarily.

This resulted in a change of strategy for Nak Belanja. It has to focus on targeting licensed vendors and all home-based products need to scrap off from the platform temporarily as well.
reflection
Producing E-commerce is more than just producing an online shopping or analysing consumer traffic. E-Commerce, just like any business, is to understand the purpose of setting up an E-Commerce. My client, Nak Belanja, was set up to ease physical businesses and direct them into the digital platform. This will help such businesses to increase their revenue and encourage online awareness. Therefore, my reflection deals with understanding the demographics of the consumers and what they hope to look for in the Nak Belanja platform.
